Female to female breadboard jumpers are essentially wires designed to easily and neatly connect points on a circuit. Most commonly utilized with breadboards and semi-permanent installations during prototyping, these jumpers often don’t even require any soldering, and can simply be plugged between two points to create a connection.
Whereas male to male jumpers would typically fit into female sockets, female to female jumpers are made to fit male connecting points – which would typically require soldering or some kind of semi-permanent connection without such jumpers.

General Uses and Applications
The typical use for these wires is for prototyping and rapid design, as breadboard jumpers allow Makers to quickly connect up a circuit without having to solder any wires in place. This of course means that they are easy to change or move around as the projects progresses, and are essentially placeholders while Makers test and try new circuits and designs. They can be, and often are, used permanently within various projects, although their primary purpose is for temporary connections during the design and prototyping phases.
