Solder Flux 80 Gram

When soldering Electronics parts, components and wiring, it’s important to use flux to reduce the amount of oxidisation that happens when metals melt and join at high temperatures. This is why we stock our 80 Gram containers of Solder Flux, which is non-toxic, non-corrosive and provides a bubble of insulation for Soldering to take place within.

The Flux is made of a rosin wax which melts into a liquid when heated. This liquid covers the metal being soldered, removing the chances for air to oxidise the metal and the Solder Wire. This, in turn, helps to ensure a smooth and clean surface for the metals to join without defects or inconsistencies. This is the same flux that we use within our workshop, and it has been tried and trusted by our engineers for many years now.

Typical Applications for Solder Flux:

Our containers of 80 Gram Solder Flux are primarily used for electronics soldering, and are not ideal for plumbing or other applications. This is important to note, as plumbing flux and Electronics Flux are slightly different, and each have their own advantages. Plumbing flux, however, is not corrosion resistant, and while it may work in the short-term, it will not protect Electronics Components or wires from long-term corrosion. So be sure to invest in some electronics soldering flux for electronics projects, and keep your soldering surfaces clean, smooth and corrosion-free.
