There’s nothing that quite beats the feeling of taking raw ideas and materials and turning them into beautiful models, decorations or even tools with 3D Printers, and with SLA & DLP, you can enjoy true precision with extremely impressive details that really steps above what FDM Printers are typically capable of. However, while it’s certainly possible to create almost anything from nothing but materials and ideas in resin based 3D Printing, it’s not always easy to find the ideal colour to bring your designs to life, and oftentimes the only choice you have is to post-process and paint your models after the prints are done, but fortunately the Monocure 3D CMYK Pigment Set is here to remedy exactly that!
This seemingly simple set of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black Pigments offers the key building blocks for creating almost any colour you can imagine, with these key colours being well-recognised as the primary colours that make up everything you see on your computer screen. And while you may be more familiar with the typical RGB or Red/Green/Blue set of colours, the CMYK set actually allows for even more control over the end result, since you also have the “fourth channel” of black making up the darkness of the colour. This means that, regardless of whether your favourite colour is available in 3D Resins or not, you can simply make it up yourself by mixing these pigments with either white or clear resins, with a white base resulting in an opaque colour, and the clear base giving a semi-transparent or translucent effect.
Although this set of pigments is rather basic in essence, it can be used in quite advanced ways, and in addition to creating customised colours and unique aesthetic styles for designs, you could also utilise these pigments halfway through prints, mixing in different colours at various layer heights and crafting your own unique multicolour creations that are simply impossible to produce otherwise. Of course, this is just one cool idea of how you can use these pigments in unique ways, and because of their rather basic nature, there are many more possibilities of what you could experiment with too. So if you love to customise your prints in your own creative ways and really get the most out of the amazing capabilities of DLP Printers, then you certainly need to test out the Monocure 3D CMYK Pigment, as it opens up even more opportunities for creating true masterpieces with your favourite 3D Printers – without specialised tools and without costing more than the printer itself.
Please Note: While it may be obvious for anyone who has worked with pigments before, it’s important to note that these are extremely effective at staining, and as such will probably stain whatever it comes into contact with. With that being said, it’s a good idea to use the Wham Bam Slap Mat, the Wham Bam Mega Slap Mat, or a similar kind of resistant mat to work on, and of course utilise gloves just like when handling 3D Resins.

No customer reviews for the moment.
Within the world of SLA and DLP Printing, there are few brands who can truly stand out from the crowd with quality 3D Resins, and amongst these brands, the choice of colours, polymers and other unique characteristics are extremely limited. That was true, at least until we found Monocure, who are arguably the most impressive 3D Resin brand in the world.
Formed by chemists with a real passion for liquid polymers and UV-sensitive “plastics”, these resins have been designed, refined and perfected over the past few years to provide hobbyists and desktop fabricators with top quality resins that are not only effective, but also diverse in the ranges of different colours, types of polymers, and intended use cases.
