The LM386 Audio Amplifier Module features a total 200X Gain via the internal 20x gain and onboard variable resistor connected to a convenient potentiometer.

 

The LM386 Audio Amplifier Module is a basic signal amplifier with 200X Gain, designed to accept incoming audio signals and boost them while maintaining the correct sound levels and ratios. It is a low-voltage Electronic Module with a small form factor that can read incoming signals from audio devices like radios, guitar pickups and microphones to amplify them for audio output devices like speakers, headphones or additional digital modules. It features an internal gain of 20x to keep the external parts count as low as possible, and an onboard potentiometer for manual on-the-fly volume adjustments.

This Audio Module operates on between 5V and 12V, making it ideal for low-voltage circuits with Arduino Boards or other basic control boards, with an extremely easy-to-understand pin layout. Simply plug in the power, the incoming audio signal, the audio ground and the power ground to the pins, and then plug in the audio output device and the corresponding ground to the screw terminals. This should automatically boost the signal by 20x, while offering an additional 10x gain via the potentiometer. This makes for a total of 200x gain, with as little loss to quality and clarity as possible.
