The HC-05 Bluetooth BEE Module is a compact little expansion board with a tiny form factor, made for Arduino-based projects to add Bluetooth capabilities. It is a 2-in-1 module that has both a slave and a master on a single board, and operates at the typical Arduino Microcontroller 3.3V.
The default baud rate for this module is 38400, but this can be changed to a range of different supported baud rates as well. It is also set to slave mode by default, although this can also be changed between master and slave depending on your project’s needs. In addition to the master and slave modes, this module offers a Loopback mode to test signal strength and range, allowing for users to figure out the precise operating distance at which the on-board Bluetooth antenna will work.
With the universal Bluetooth adapter, this module is capable of connecting with almost any type of device, and is already tried and tested to work with the standard Bluetooth module installed into most laptops and Bluetooth-enabled motherboards. This ensures that you never have to struggle to pair devices or machines with the module, and can instead simply enjoy the native compatibility that this compact but effective module offers.
Since this module operates at 3.3V, it is compatible with all well-known Development Platforms as well as Shields. However, a power rating above this limit will blow the chips on board, so always be sure you are never providing more power than the standard Arduino Boards 3.3V rating.

The universal design of the Bluetooth BEE Module lends itself well to a wide range of different applications, but is most suited for Arduino and Electronics projects. Not only does it allow for mobile phones, PC’s, tablets and other devices to connect to electronic or Arduino-based systems, but actually allows for the master device to control and operate the system wirelessly via a reliable Bluetooth connection. And with simple and easy pairing functionality, this device can quickly connect to paired devices without you even having to think about it.
