Within the 3D Making industry, there are very few 3D Makers who have not yet heard of the world-famous brand known as E3D, who played a large role in revolutionising the way in which Hotend Assemblies and Cooling Towers were manufactured. This of course gave them a good lead in the market, garnering them the strength to take their ideas further, with better funding, more passionate team members and overall more enthusiasm to add more value to the industry – and the result of this was the awesome, lightweight and ready-to-deliver E3D Original Titan Extruder.

This very fancy extruder assembly is designed to be as low-weight as possible, while still offering strong and effective filament driving capabilities. It is made by E3D, the original masters of the Titan Extruder, and is supplied directly by Creality 3D, with an included Groove Mount Adapter that allows it to be installed onto the powerful Creality CR-10 V2 3D Printer. This of course converts the Bowden-Style CR-10 V2 into a Direct Drive CR-10 V2, and opens up a near-excessive number of possibilities for 3D Printing in exciting materials and polymers that have typically been out of reach for Bowden setups in the past. And while some people may not truly understand just what kinds of benefits a modular Direct Drive Extruder can offer, any experienced 3D Makers out there will be able to fully grasp the amazing opportunities that a direct drive setup can provide!

So, gone are the days of having to specifically choose a Bowden Drive if you wanted a good quality Creailty machine, and now are the days in which you can upgrade your Creality CR-10 V2 to dierct drive - while still relying on the brand name that you trust. This allows Makers like yourself to print in almost any 3D Filaments that you want, from PLA to TPU and even some tricky Exotic Filaments like Nylon, and with this upgrade you will soon be 3D Printing in all of the exciting materials you’ve always dreamed of using.

Please Note: The installation of this E3D Original Titan Extruder for CR-10 V2 requires a firmware update, as well as some semi-permanent modifications to get working perfectly, and as such should be considered a semi-permanent upgrade, rather than a hot-swappable upgrade like Creality suggests. Fortunately though, we have prepared a nice, safe guide which will not only help you through the process of updating the firmware safely, but will also keep your warranty intact too. Just be sure to follow the guide carefully to avoid any unexpected problems, and reach out to [email protected] if you are unsure of any steps in the process.

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
