If you’re a 3D Maker who likes to tinker, and enjoys taking 3D Printing to a higher level with unique and exciting modules and components, then you’re undoubtedly going to be excited with this MKS CD V1.0 External Stepper Driver Interfacing Module. The MKS CD V1.0 is a brilliant little adapter/interfacing board that utilises the classic A4988 Stepper Driver form factor to allow users like yourself to utilise external drivers like the powerful MKS TB6600 Stepper Motor Driver.
The MKS CD V1.0 opens up fresh new opportunities for beefing up your 3D Printer’s power, while also featuring some awesome protection features that work to isolate the power between the Stepper Drivers and the Controller Boards, so as to keep all of the connected components safe from high current. It simply plugs into the controller board like a typical A4988 or similar driver would, and then connects to the external stepper driver via a simple 4-wire interface. This is particularly beneficial for 3D Printers that utilise 57/86 stepper motors, as these motors typically require high driving currents, and running high-current drivers directly through a controller board can certainly lead to costly and unexpected damage.

However, we can’t necessarily support these unusual use cases, so be sure that you know what you’re doing before experimenting too much. With that being said, these stepper driver expander are made for controller boards that typically take Stepper Drivers with the same form factor as the classic A4988 Drivers and DRV8825 Drivers a
