Capacitors are ingenious little Electronics Components that are designed to almost act as a reservoir for energy to be stored, with outputs that can either slowly release that energy in a consistent flow, or dump the entire load all at once. This makes them quite diverse in nature, as they can be used to filter and smooth out inconsistent signals into clean, consistent signals, as well as for applications like camera flashes, in which you may need a large charge delivered over a few milliseconds, but require a small battery due to space and weight constraints. In a similar fashion to our other Low ESR Capacitors, the key feature of these 1000μF 16V Electrolytic Capacitors are the fact that they offer very low ESR, making them ideal for applications like Switch Mode Power Supplies. However, due to the simple design of capacitors and high capacitance of electrolytic type capacitors, these can realistically be used for whatever application you require – as long the application doesn’t exceed the basic parameters of this unit.
