Digital Sensor Cables for Gravity Modules - 10 Pack

When designing a cool new project to build, and choosing what kinds of sensors, Modules and other parts you’re going to include, it’s often easy to overlook one of the simplest – yet arguably most important – aspects of the build, which is the cables that you’re going to use. And while many Makers are comfortable with just using whatever cables are laying about in their workshop, when dealing with digital and analog sensors, the choice of cable can actually make a very big difference.

These Digital Sensor Cables are designed for DFRobot Gravity Modules, and are relatively basic, with a 3-Pin servo type connector on one end and a 3-Pin JST connector on the other. This allows for quick and effective connections between various Sensor Modules and boards like the DFRobot IO Expansion Shield, so you don’t have to worry about soldering, and can instead just focus on Prototyping and getting the right results that you want.

These Digital Sensor cables come in packs of ten, and are 30cm long to cater to quite a wide range of projects. However, it’s important to note that because they are digital cables, they are designed to sense just two states of the connected sensors: 0% or ON, and 100% or OFF. This means that these Cables may struggle when used in conjunction with analog sensors, since analog sensors typically require a variable 0% to 100% range, and the results that you get with these digital cables may be skewed or simply inaccurate. With that being said, when used alongside digital cables, this pack is all you need to get the Yes/No signals you need to have your project operate in precisely the way that you’re expecting it to.
