Wham Bam Powder Coated PEI Flexi Plate - 235x235mm Double Sided

If you’re one of the avid 3D Makers who simply never stop 3D Printing, preparing and slicing design files before the previous print has even completed, then you’re going to fall in love with these awesome Wham Bam Powder Coated PEI Flexi Plates, which are designed for the ever-popular Wham Bam Flexible Build Systems and are ready to offer a whole new level of convenience and efficiency. They are made from flexible spring steel, which has then been powder coated with PEI on both sides, and this provides a really nice build surface with excellent bed adhesion, while also ensuring an absolutely flat surface that drastically improves first-layer adhesion throughout the entire print – leading to better overall print quality and less time and filament waste too.

When compared to the standard Wham Bam Preinstalled Flexi Plates, these Powder Coated PEI Flexi Plates offer more durability and a longer lifespan, and this is primarily due to the more rugged powder coating, but also because it provides two surfaces to utilise rather than just one. The thin, durable coating also directly translates to even fewer over-adhesion problems than what you might expect from PEI, as well as peace of mind in knowing that the entire surface is as flat as possible, without any undulations or curves that could cause problems. And of course, if you do manage to damage the bed or experience “baked in” filaments on the bed, you can simply flip it over and use the other side, essentially doubling the lifespan and ensuring awesome Bed Adhesion for longer than almost any other bed on the market.

Finally, just to add some awesome finishing touches, the powder coated surface also carries the extra the extra benefit of offering a beautifully textured surface finish, and compared to the ultra-smooth sheen of standard PEI Sheets, the finish created by the powder coating layer features a rougher, almost stippled surface that is quite reminiscent of BuildTak. And while this may not be the ideal choice for everyone, we personally love to have the choice of a smooth or a textured surface when designing and printing various things – which of course is particularly beneficial for covers and front panels.
