The LattePanda V1 Windows 10 Mini PC - 4GB/64GB Enterprise License

The 4GB/64GB LattePanda Enterprise Windows 10 Mini PC is a powerful little computer, designed in an elegant way that allows all of the large components of a full-sized computer to fit onto a single board around the size of the credit card. It offers all of the power and functionality of a fully working computer, but has just been reduced to an incredibly small size that could easily fit into your pocket, backpack or even your lunchbox if that’s what you want to do!

And while you may be thinking that such a device with so many benefits would be very expensive, however, the board has been designed by Makers who understand the importance of hobbyist affordability. This ensures that, although it is relatively pricey compared to basic Arduino and similar Development Boards, it offers an almost breath-taking level of power and functionality that fits perfectly into a typical hobbyist “Splurge-Budget”.

This 4GB/64GB LattePanda is a slightly improved version of our 2GB/32GB LattePanda Mini PC, but comes with a version of Windows 10 Enterprise to ensure that the boards are ready to operate from the get-go. It is, however, exactly the same board as the Unactivated 4GB/64GB LattePanda, so be sure to check that out if you’re not interested in the included Windows license. This is the key reason why this board costs more than the Unactivated boards, although if you consider the fact that Windows would typically cost more to purchase separately, this version can dramatically cut down on the cost of the system, allowing the LattePanda team to almost double-down on the RAM and eMMC memory.

Similarly to the 2GB version, this 4GB/64GB LattePanda Includes the following great features:

• A quad core 1.84GHz CPU with onboard Intel HD 500MHz GPU.
• Three USB ports: One USB3.0 port and two USB2.0 ports.
• Onboard WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.
• An Ethernet port.
• Two video ports: One HDMI port and one MIPI-DSI port
• A host of other goodies focused on usability and user convenience.

In addition to all of the above, this 4GB LattePanda differs from the 2GB version by offering double the DDRL3 RAM and eMMC Memory capabilities. This allows the board to handle twice the amount of multitasked processes, and dramatically boosts the speed of the system as a whole. However, it’s important to note that this version comes with an Enterprise Windows 10 installed on it. This doesn’t necessarily reduce the functionality of the board though, and simply limits the amount of personal customisation like backgrounds and screensavers of the operating system. It does still operate at full power and full functionality, however, and you can also always choose to activate the installed Windows OS if you do want that kind of personalisation at a later stage.

And finally, one of the key benefits of LattePanda boards compared to many other Mini PC’s on the market is that it offers a co-processor in addition to all of its other features. This co-processor is an ATmega32U4, and is somewhat equivalent to an Arduino Leonardo Board, capable of sensing the world through various modules and components, even acting as a customisable HID device as well, allowing Arduino experts and enthusiasts to enjoy all of the same functionality that they’re accustomed to from their development boards. And just to complement this feature, the LattePanda also includes an Arduino pinout, enabling the LattePanda to be integrated into existing Arduino-based projects for even more functionality – on top of the plethora of features that this fully-functioning computer offers.

Note: This unit includes a WiFi antenna, which can optionally be installed to boost the range and signal strength of WiFi connections.

The onboard ATmega32u4 co-processor can also be used separately to the windows components, or can be used to complement the primary component set, with the option for automating your cooling system depending on the ambient temperature around the LattePanda, activating specific modules when the morning light breaches the room, or employ an array of actuators, sensors and other modules for almost any Arduino-based projects you can imagine.
