As many of you smart Makers will know by now, the DFRobot FireBeetle ESP32 MCU is an amazing microcontroller, offering a similar style to Arduino but with built-in WiFi and a range of other handy features. However, until recently, the FireBeetle simply couldn’t compare to the range of Arduino Boards and their expansion modules known as Arduino Shields, although with the introduction of the exciting (and growing) range of FireBeetle Covers, the FireBeetle has now become a whole lot more stylish, as well as functional.

This awesome FireBeetle Covers-OLED 128x64 Display is an expansion module designed for the FireBeetle MCU, and features a 128x64 resolution OLED display, onboard controls, a 5-way joystick, as well as an internally integrated 3-axis accelerometer. These features all make it an amazing all-round module for almost any FireBeetle project, giving you not only multiple ways of interfacing with the project, but also a really nice quality display to show variables, animations, precise measurements, or even just to create your own pocket-sized game-station to play snake or care for a digital tamagotchi pet.

Of course, in a similar fashion to other FireBeetle Covers, this Cover can plug directly into the top of a FireBeetle board, and is capable of being stacked with other Covers for even more functionality. However, despite this native compatibility with FireBeetle boards, it can also be used with almost any microcontrollers that operate on 3.3V or 5V, and you can easily use this on Arduino Boards just as easily, although it may just require some extra jumpers or soldering to connect everything up.
