The KNOMI UI is one of the cutest upgrades we’ve seen for a 3D printer, with its emoji faces that bring the whole machine to life. This round display sits in front of the part cooling fun on the hotend of a Klipper-style 3D printer, like the Voron Stealthburner. It acts as a simple display that’s easy to plug in and enjoy its charming KNOMI UI. Displays like this are not only adorable additions, but also very useful for checking on your print’s status with a quick glance. The KNOMI V2 is a touch display as well to give you quick easy control while monitoring your printer.
This KNOMI V2 Touch Display is designed by BigTreeTech and gives your Voron Stealthburner a fun personality and custom experience. While very similar to the KNOMI V1, this new KNOMI V2 offers touchscreen control, customisable UI colours, and extra interfaces for connecting external modules. The screen displays each step of the 3D printing process, such as the heated bed temperature, nozzle temperature, levelling status, and print progress bar. The included WiFi provides a user-friendly wireless connection. A USB Type-C port on the back allows for further UART-to-USB versatility. The screen itself is 1.28” that’s easy to read at 178° angles.
With the KNOMI V2 Display, you’re not just plastering a set of googly eyes onto your printer; you're animating your entire printer and expanding its potential. BigTreeTech has added an array of additional interfaces to the back of KNOMI V2 for you to upgrade your printer even further. These interfaces include an OV2640 camera and I2C interfaces for connecting button modules, temperature and humidity sensors, and wireless batteries. As one of the rising stars in the world of 3D Printer Component Research and Development, BigTreeTech have certainly hit the ground running, entering the market in 2015 and spending their early stages primarily learning, researching, testing and developing, before producing some truly impressive results. From simple but effective upgrades to standard parts, all the way through to completely custom parts that no other brand offered at the time, BigTreeTech now have an incredibly diverse range, with almost no area of 3D Printing being left out.
Some of BigTreeTech’s most notable additions to the world of 3D Printing include the SKR Motherboard Range for numerous different 3D Printer models, the awesome TFT Touch Display Range with fancy features like dual-mode operation, as well as their very impressive Stepper Driver Range that cater to all tastes and preferences under the sun.
