Creality 3D Printer Enclosure - CR-10 Series

With the rise of popularity of the original Creality CR-10, the CR-10S, as well as the following models since then, Creality 3D Printers have been getting better and better by the year, with new features and exciting new improvements that pleasantly surprise us with each new model. However, one area in which Creality 3D Printers have always been lacking is that they were always open-air 3D Printers  , and by this we mean that they didn’t come with enclosures included – or even easy to install for that matter.

This classic open-air design of Creality 3D Printers, although certainly great for keeping overhead costs down, has resulted in some serious limitations regarding the material capabilities of these machines, and this is the primary reason why we typically don’t recommend them for printing in ABS Filament or other higher temperature filaments. However, this is all about to change with the addition of the new Creality Enclosure for CR-10 Series 3D Printers, which is built specifically to remedy the problems relating to the open-air design, allowing 3D Makers to start taking on those trickier filaments like ABS, Nylons and even Polycarbonate – all of which require enclosed printing environments to print effectively without curling or warping.

This enclosure is made from nice, high-quality materials, featuring a naturally fire-retardant polyester material alongside pure aluminium film, and these materials have been carefully chosen because they typically melt and produce extinguishing agents when they get too hot. This, coupled with rugged 16mm diameter iron pipes and injection moulded corner brackets, give it a solid and stable structure that not only keeps toasty temperatures and noises inside, but also keeps dust and other potentially detrimental factors out.

Please Note: This awesome enclosure is compatible with the Creality CR-10, CR-10S, CR-10S Pro and Ender 5 PLUS, but is NOT compatible with the larger Creality CR-10 MAX or CR-10 S4 / S5 models.

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models.
