With the wonders of modern 3D Printing giving us the ability to really let our imaginations come to life, it’s amazing that we can now print almost anything that we can imagine. However, although most 3D Printers are extremely accurate nowadays, sometimes ideas call for even more precision than what filament-based 3D Printers can produce, and that’s where DLP Printers like the Anycubic Photon-S and the Creality LD-002R really shine, using 3D Resins like this eSUN Clear Standard eResin to achieve even high precision and an even greater level of detail.
This eSUN eResin Standard is one of the highest quality 3D Resins that we’ve had the pleasure of testing so far, and although this resin is designed for general-purpose prints, we’ve found that it’s actually better than a lot of the specialised resins on the market. This is what we’ve come to expect from eSUN, as they continue to lead the Hobbyist 3D Printing market in both FDM Filaments as well as DLP Resins, with a realistic price-point that we feel is very fair for the high level of quality that their resins offer.
The unique colour (or lack of colour) offers an intriguing aesthetic that is like slightly opaque glass, and this of course can be post-processed afterwards to remove the layer lines and make prints more transparent. And while some could argue that this is somewhat “boring” compared to some of the exciting 3D Resin colours you can get, we absolutely love how it really shows off all of the fine details so well – from all angles! Great examples of impressive clear DLP prints would be buildings, machinery, jewellery and other intricate models, as the transparency allows you to see all of the fine details hidden within, really accentuating on the subtle or pronounced complexities of each model.

Shenzhen eSUN Industrial Co., Ltd was established in 2002 in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and has rapidly become one of the leading international suppliers of 3D Printing Filament. They specialise in research, development and production of degradable polymer materials, and have grown their catalogue of filaments to include PLA, ABS, PC, PVA, and a wide range of other polymers and copolymers.
Their list of exclusive filament formulas include unique materials like wood, aluminium, bronze and other materials to create highly specialised filaments that can stretch, bend, be moulded or otherwise behave in very unique ways. Their filaments are also commonly characterised by their absolutely round shape, extremely low diameter tolerance, uniform colours and impressively stable melting points. These characteristics, in combination with their long-term insistent policy of “Best Quality, Reasonable Price” has garnered them a large share of the market, with their reputation commonly preceding them within knowledgeable online and offline 3D Printing communities.
eSUN’s popularity in the industry has also helped to produce sustainable partnerships with many internationally famous 3D Printer manufacturers and distributors, with DIYElectronics having sole distributorship rights to provide their 3D Printing Filaments to South Africa and neighbouring African countries.
