As anyone who has spent a few hours with a DLP Printer will know, 3D Resins are not always enjoyable to work with, as they can be messy, smelly, and quite a pain to deal with due to their unique chemical properties. Fortunately though, the benefits of DLP / SLA Printing are certainly more than worth the hassle, as DLP can go far beyond what an FDM Printer is typically capable of in terms of precision, accuracy and fine details, and while there may not be quite as many types of materials to utilise for DLP & SLA, the quality of prints that it can produce are simply incomparable, and that’s particularly why DLP Printers are so often used for mini figurines and other tiny but highly details models.

Although these bottles of eSUN eResin-PLA Bio-Photopolymer may look quite similar to other 3D Resins, eSUN have specially made this resin as a means to provide an eco-friendly, biodegradable alternative to the many chemical-rich options that are available. This, however, doesn’t mean that it’s safe to touch, but what it does mean is that you don’t have to stress about throwing prints directly into the bin, while enjoying the exact same quality and other attributes that you could expect from eSUN Standard Resins. Just remember that it’s still important to utilise those gloves and facemask when working with these resins, since they still do have similar particles that can cause problems after too much exposure, but you can enjoy the fact that your 3D Resin Printing won’t be causing irreparable damage to the environment for your models and designs.

When comparing the colour to other 3D Resins, this filament offers quite an opaque and almost organic looking red that really does well in hiding layer lines and other minor artefacts on the surface. It’s ideal for creating prints that you really want to stand out, and we’ve found it fitting well with all kinds of themes and events from holiday decorations to custom bangles. That’s why we think, along with colours like black and sky blue, Red Resins are certainly some of the key colours to keep handy, so that you’ll be prepared for whatever your imagination conjures up for your next print.

eSUN eResin-PLA Bio Photopolymer - Red 0.5 Litre

Shenzhen eSUN Industrial Co., Ltd was established in 2002 in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and has rapidly become one of the leading international suppliers of 3D Printing Filament. They specialise in research, development and production of degradable polymer materials, and have grown their catalogue of filaments to include PLA, ABS, PC, PVA, and a wide range of other polymers and copolymers.

Their list of exclusive filament formulas include unique materials like wood, aluminium, bronze and other materials to create highly specialised filaments that can stretch, bend, be moulded or otherwise behave in very unique ways. Their filaments are also commonly characterised by their absolutely round shape, extremely low diameter tolerance, uniform colours and impressively stable melting points. These characteristics, in combination with their long-term insistent policy of “Best Quality, Reasonable Price” has garnered them a large share of the market, with their reputation commonly preceding them within knowledgeable online and offline 3D Printing communities.

eSUN’s popularity in the industry has also helped to produce sustainable partnerships with many internationally famous 3D Printer manufacturers and distributors, with DIYElectronics having sole distributorship rights to provide their 3D Printing Filaments to South Africa and neighbouring African countries.
