These 1kg spools of 1.75mm eSUN eAlfill Filament is a very unique filament that has been designed to look and feel just like real Aluminium. It is a PLA base polymer with imbued aluminium powder, which, despite having a very distinct material composition, is surprisingly easy to print with. The colour of the filament is made to look like natural aluminium, and can then be polished after the printing process to produce a beautiful metallic sheen.

These unique characteristics make eSUN eAlfill filament a great 3D Filament to add to your collection, as it allows you to print durable and aesthetically stylish models, tools, sculptures, famous relics, or even old-school busts of famous people – or yourself. So get yourself a spool of this unique aluminium-imbued PLA Filament and start experimenting today. There is so much that you can do with this unique and exciting 3D Printing material, and even more enticing possibilities when you consider how it could be polished, stained or otherwise stylised after the printing process.

Note: This filament is quite abrasive, so be prepared to change your nozzle after printing with it or take a look at our range of stainless steel nozzles.

Typical Applications for eSUN 1.75mm “eAlfill” Aluminium Filament:

With such unique aesthetic and material characteristics, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that customers have used eSUN’s eAlfill filament for very unique applications. Many of these applications include printing metallic sculptures, models and figurines, although some of the more unique projects include:

  • Building polished aluminium enclosures to add a professional or rustic appearance – depending of course on the structural style and post-print processing.
  • 3D Printing parts for robotics projects, to add a futuristic feel without requiring expensive machined metals.
  • Making your own jewellery, bangles or other fashions accessories, which can be particularly effective when creating Cosplay outfits or fantasy weapon reconstructions.

These, however, are just some of the many possibilities when utilising aluminium filament, and the actual limits of this filament are simply limited by your imagination. Shenzhen eSUN Industrial Co., Ltd was established in 2002 in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and has rapidly become one of the leading international suppliers of 3D Printing Filament. They specialise in research, development and production of degradable polymer materials, and have grown their catalogue of filaments to include PLA, ABS, PC, PVA, and a wide range of other polymers and copolymers.

Their list of exclusive filament formulas include unique materials like wood, aluminium, bronze and other materials to create highly specialised filaments that can stretch, bend, be moulded or otherwise behave in very unique ways. Their filaments are also commonly characterised by their absolutely round shape, extremely low diameter tolerance, uniform colours and impressively stable melting points. These characteristics, in combination with their long-term insistent policy of “Best Quality, Reasonable Price” has garnered them a large share of the market, with their reputation commonly preceding them within knowledgeable online and offline 3D Printing communities.
