Stepper motors are fantastic tools for Makers of all kinds, and are an excellent example of what can happen when Electronics meets Mechanics. However, steppers can be tough to drive without equipment like stepper motor drivers, which is why the Dual Stepper Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi is such a great little expansion board. Featuring dual-driving capabilities for driving two Stepper Motors simultaneously, as well as a pin layout that can easily plug into the top of most Raspberry Pi Boards, this board integrates your stepper motors into your project in one of the easiest ways possible, leaving you with more time and energy to focus on the parts of the project that matter most to you.

Another fine feature of the Raspberry Pi Stepper Motor HAT is that it also features an onboard MP1584 5V Regulator built directly into the circuit, so that the power supply of the HAT can also power the Raspberry Pi that it is plugged into. This reduces the amount of necessary power cables by half, which not only ensures that both the board and the HAT will safely turn on and off together, but also helps with cable management and aesthetics for Makers who want to use this HAT in an open-display kind of environment.
