3D Printing is more than just a hobby, and has become a serious passion for so many Makers here in South Africa. In fact, even people who wouldn’t consider themselves to be technical have enjoyed amazing results with 3D Printing, and the love for producing custom parts, models and various other prints is spreading at a surprisingly rapid rate each year. This is why we are always looking for ways to provide better quality components for our customers, such as these E3D V6 1.75mm Heat Breaks from the world-renowned brand Micro Swiss.

These stainless-steel heat breaks from Micro Swiss are specially designed not only for effective heat throttling in E3D-style hotend assemblies, but also with a strong focus on low friction for effective extrusion and reduced blobbing and clogging. This is achieved with a high quality plating of “TwinClad XT” Electroless Nickel composite coating, which offers very low friction and an impressive resistance to abrasive materials like Carbon Fiber and MetalFill Exotic Filaments.

The added wear resistance of the TwinClad XT plating greatly reduces any damage or corrosion within the heat break and melt zone, ensuring that there are no small indents or scratches for 3D Filaments to stick to. This results in smooth extrusion throughout many hours of intensive use, while the stainless-steel base material is protected within to provide effective heat throttling to protect the components positioned above it.

Note: This is a Micro Swiss Original Heat Break, supplied directly by the industry leaders in nozzle R&D and Production. This ensures premium quality and lasting durability, even when dealing with high-corrosion filaments like Carbon Fiber and MetalFill.

Typical Applications for the E3D V6 1.75mm Micro Swiss Heat Break:

These Micro Swiss Original Heat Breaks are designed to be used within 1.75mm E3D V6 hotend assemblies, and are primarily used when printing in Carbon Fiber, BronzeFill, Glow-in-the-Dark and other highly abrasive materials. However, even if you only print in the standardised PLA and ABS filaments, you can enjoy some great benefits too. This is because all filaments are abrasive to some degree, even if only slightly, and reduced corrosion directly translates to a much longer lifespan for the part, with fewer clogs and blobbing – as well as less maintenance and hassle for you as a Maker.

Awesome Product

Bought this and a a cheap generic for my genuine E3DV6 that I have accidentally bent. This is even better than the original one... Great product.

Within 3D Printing, there are a few brands whose hard work has made them stand out from the rest, with real innovation and the ability to not only refine old designs, but actually redesign from the ground up to offer more comprehensive upgrades for 3D printing enthusiasts and Makers throughout the world.

Micro Swiss is one such brand that perfectly fits this description, and since their founding back in 2015, the Micro Swiss brand has garnered world-wide attention for the quality, material composition and precision of their hotends, nozzles and other all-metal components. With a core focus on TwinClad XT Plated Brass Nozzles and All-Metal Hotend Upgrades for some of the most popular 3D Printers on the market, it’s no surprise that one of the easiest and most effective upgrades available to Makers are Micro Swiss Replacement Parts and Upgrade Kits.

In addition to the amazing 3D Printing components and upgrades that they produce, Micro Swiss also specialise in Swiss Turning, which is capable of precision CNC machining outer diameters as small as 0.0127mm, as well as CNC milling, tapping and post machining finishing for prototyping. These service offerings and correlating skillsets ensure that the Micro Swiss team is more than just capable of producing consistently high-quality parts, but also capable of identifying precisely where each part could use improvements.

As manufacturers and end-users of everything they produce, Micro Swiss is one of the most impressive brands we’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, and we look forward to all of the exciting refinements and developments that they are bound to bring out in the future.
