This 12V 40W Heater Cartridge is a standard heating unit that installs directly into the heater block on a hotend assembly. It is compatible with 12V systems, and runs at a higher current than the 24V 40W Heater Cartridge variation.

Installation is relatively simple, as this unit plugs into the motherboard and installs directly into the side of the Heater Block. This enables beginners and veterans alike to upgrade or replace their heater cartridges with ease, and to get back to printing within minutes.

The unit is very efficient, offers faster heating as well as less energy loss than enamel counterparts, and is made from ceramics for impressive heat retention. It is 30mm long and 6mm in diameter, with a silicone insulated high temperature lead length of 1000mm, which is long enough to cater to most compatible 3D Printers, but can be cut shorter if necessary to make the cable setup neater.

Typical Applications for the 6x30mm 12V 40W Heater Cartridge:

Although this 12V 40W Heater Cartridge is primarily designed to be used with E3D hotend assemblies like the V6, Lite6, Titan Aero, Chimera, Cyclops and Kraken, it is also compatible with a wide range of 3D printers running 12V systems. It is made to boost the temperatures of the heater block, which then heats the 3D Filament to a melting point to extrude it effectively.

Just be sure not to confuse this unit with the 24V variation, as this could cause problems if your system runs at 12V.
