This hotend assembly is supplied from Creality, and can be directly swapped out with no extra modifications required. The reason why it’s not compatible with older models, however, is because these components utilise an M6-0.75 thread, which results in a tighter fit with less leaks, as well as more grip between the components over a shorter length.
