Within 3D Printing, there are so many different brands that make clones and copies, that it’s often difficult to identify when a specific part, component or entire assembly is capable of offering reliable results like the description states. However, what we at DIYElectronics do for you, so that you don't have to, is find the best possible bang for your buck and allow you to rest assured that it’s compatible with your machine. Whether it be an affordable clone or a world-renowned high-quality product such as these Micro Swiss products for those of you who won't settle for anything but the very best.

One such brand that has garnered world-wide attention for their quality and passion for precision is Micro Swiss, an American company that utilise a Swiss lathe to reach a precision rating of up to 0.005mm tolerances, and we are excited to let you know that we’ve become official distributors for their pristinely machined and highly sought after 3D Printer Components.

Adding to our range of stocked Micro Swiss Hotend Assemblies, this hotend is a drop-in upgrade kit for the crowdfunded CR-6 SE, CR-6 SE Max and CR-10 Smart Printers. Passionate Makers involved in the creation of the impressive CR-6 SE, now can take their printers a step higher by installing this quality All-Metal Hotend for boosted print quality and to reach the high temperatures to print more specialized 3D Filaments. In a standard hotend, a PTFE tube lines inside all the way down the nozzle, but temperatures over 250°C will degrade the tube and start emitting toxic fumes. An all-metal hotend like this Micro Swiss Hotend for CR-6 SE eliminates that problem with a specialised coating that removes the need for PTFE lining by offering a super low-friction feedpath, with specialised materials like Grade 5 Titanium to ensure better durability and less headaches and maintenance for 3D Makers like yourself. Able to comfortably reach up to 300°C on your Micro Swiss Hotend, you will enjoy printing interesting materials like Nylon, Polycarbonate, and Carbon Fibre Filaments.

Using all-metal hotends with all their amazing advantages also come a need to find a tricky balance in retraction settings to avoid clogging. Since metal is naturally more heat conductive, high temperature filament has a chance to stick to the heat break wall if retracted too much. It is recommended to begin with lower retraction distance of 3.5mm-4mm and 45mm/s speed as you experiment with the best settings for your printer. That said, Micro Swiss Hotends have been designed with this in mind and an aluminium cooling block uniquely fitted with this hotend further ensures faster heat dissipation to help make the lives of Makers that bit easier to find your balance and get to printing your fantastic 3D Models.

Note: This is a Micro Swiss Original Hotend Assembly, supplied directly by the industry leaders in nozzle and hotend R&D and Production. This ensures premium quality and lasting durability, even when dealing with high-corrosion filaments like Carbon Fibre and MetalFill.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS FOR THIS MICRO SWISS HOTEND ASSEMBLY FOR CR-6 SE / CR-6 SE MAX / CR-10 Smart:

Although the original Creality CR-6 SE Hotend Assembly is perfectly capable of producing great quality prints, it can’t quite compare to the incredible quality and impressive material composition of the parts that make up the Micro Swiss assembly. This is how Micro Swiss hotends can comfortably reach around 300°C without problems, as their R&D department have endured countless hours of trial and error, so that we can enjoy some of the highest quality Hotend Assemblies on the market.

The heat break of a standard printer, for example, would typically be made from brass or stainless steel, but Micro Swiss has stepped up this design with a specialised Grade 5 Titanium Heat Break, which is much stronger and less prone to breaking, while also offering better thermal insulation. In fact, even the nozzle has been dramatically improved over the typical brass style nozzles, and is plated with a “TwinClad XT” Nickel-composite coating for ultra-low friction – with all of these factors resulting in a hotend assembly that offers even better filament control, but without even needing any PTFE lining.

Offering one of the best, and surprisingly also one of the most hassle-free, upgrades available to Makers, it’s easy to see why Micro Swiss are dominating the hotend assembly landscape.

Within 3D Printing, there are a few brands whose hard work has made them stand out from the rest, with real innovation and the ability to not only refine old designs, but actually redesign from the ground up to offer more comprehensive upgrades for 3D printing enthusiasts and Makers throughout the world.

Micro Swiss is one such brand that perfectly fits this description, and since their founding back in 2015, the Micro Swiss brand has garnered world-wide attention for the quality, material composition and precision of their hotends, nozzles and other all-metal components. With a core focus on TwinClad XT Plated Brass Nozzles and All-Metal Hotend Upgrades for some of the most popular 3D Printers on the market, it’s no surprise that one of the easiest and most effective upgrades available to Makers are Micro Swiss Replacement Parts and Upgrade Kits.

In addition to the amazing 3D Printing components and upgrades that they produce, Micro Swiss also specialise in Swiss Turning, which is capable of precision CNC machining outer diameters as small as 0.0127mm, as well as CNC milling, tapping and post machining finishing for prototyping. These service offerings and correlating skillsets ensure that the Micro Swiss team is more than just capable of producing consistently high-quality parts, but also capable of identifying precisely where each part could use improvements.

As manufacturers and end-users of everything they produce, Micro Swiss is one of the most impressive brands we’ve had the pleasure of dealing with, and we look forward to all of the exciting refinements and developments that they are bound to bring out in the future.
