The ESP8266 WeMos D1 Mini Pro WiFi Dev Board is one of the newest iterations of the highly popular WeMos D1 Mini Dev Board and includes an external antenna. With all the same functionality and Micro USB connection, this D1 Mini Pro board has the interesting addition of both an external antenna connector and a built-in ceramic antenna. This adds some long range to your IoT projects, offering a boost to your WiFi signal strength. The WeMos D1 Mini board utilises the classic ESP8266 for effective WiFi communications, with a full complement of digital I/O pins to control LED strips, servo motors, sensor arrays, and many other modules and components over WiFi!
As one of the latest designs, this ESP8266 WeMos D1 Mini Pro WiFi Dev Board has a few different key features that further extend its usefulness as a fun IoT project board. The board itself sports the newer design with the ESP8266EX chip, 4MB flash memory, and the CP2104 USB-to-serial converter. The 11 digital I/O pins can control LED strips, servo motors, sensor arrays, and many other modules and components over WiFi. The ESP8266 WeMos D1 Mini Pro WiFi Dev Board provides a compact size and friendly pin layout to make the WeMos ideal for IoT smart home projects where space is constrained.
