As Makers who love DIY all the things that we can, it’s often difficult to pass up on the opportunity to actually build something rather than just buy it, because there’s something that’s just so special about building things yourself, with there usually being a lot of opportunities for minor (or major) customisations along the way to differentiate your thing from all the others, and add a personal touch that suits your particular style. This is why we simply love Riden’s range of PSU Interfacing Modules like the DPS5005, and of course that’s precisely why we’ve made a concerted effort to get in this Riden DP & DPS PSU Enclosure A.
This Riden DP & DPS Enclosure A is designed to perfectly fit the Riden DPS5005 Digital PSU Module, and comes with a full range of extras that make the DIY work simplified, easy and fun. It offers a cutout in the front that perfectly fits the face of the DPS5005, and also includes some Connectors & Wiring, a rocker switch for turning the input on and off, a tiny but effective cooling fan with a fan controller module, some screw-in terminals for both the input and output, and even some handy little rubber feet to prevent vibration and noise. This, along with the DPS5005 Module and a reliable Power Supply, is everything you need to build your very own custom DIY Variable PSU, and with a nice strong metal design and high quality components, you can rest assured that this enclosure will not only keep your DPS5005 safe and protected, but will also ensure a nice, long-lasting lifespan with great cooling and protection against dust and other potentially corrosive or harmful elements.
If you’ve been eyeing out the DPS5005 PSU Interfacing Module but have been holding back due to the loose module style of it, this enclosure may be just what you need to dive in and get started building your own customised, personalised and stylised DIY Variable Power Supply. Just remember that the enclosure may not be quite big enough to fit a PSU inside though, so that will have to be mounted elsewhere and connected up via the input screw-in terminals.

To get a better idea of what this installation of this enclosure and the DPS5005 will entail, check out the following DPS5005 Build & First Test Video by Dustin Watts, which covers all of the basic installation steps and some insights into the enclosure and PSU Module. Just bear in mind that this version does not include the USB Board, as we felt that the USB Board drastically reduced the cost-effectiveness of the unit without providing sufficient benefits:
