Despite the fact that these are primarily stocked for the Pi Supply PiJuice HAT, we Makers can’t help but think about the incredibly wide range of different applications that it can be used for. However, in running with the PiJuice HAT theme, we found these massive capacity batteries to be particularly awesome for the following projects:

• Building a self-sustained sensor system (so much alliteration!) for an office, warehouse, barnyard or even small manufacturing plant, which monitors a wide collection of different sensors and modules, while powering itself from the battery and charging up during daylight hours.
• Creating your own customised Pi-based Laptop, affectionately known as a “PiTop”, that you can take with you on long travels, offering up to 47 hours of 1080p video playback for those extra long flights, train rides or stop-overs.
• Making a nature-watcher, which begins recording once motion is detected and then goes into idle mode after a certain period of no motion – relying on solar energy or other natural power sources to keep the battery charged and ready to snap up those buck, birds, bush-pigs and whatever else crosses the path of the camera and motion sensor.
