These 0.2mm MK8 Nozzles are Creality Original replacement parts designed to fit the Creality CR-10S and the classic Ender Series of 3D Printers, and are based on the successful MK8 Nozzle Design. They are smaller than the standard nozzle size of 0.4mm, which is the same size that comes equipped on many of the modern models since 3mm filament began phasing out. This size offers impressive accuracy, but comes at the relatively minor cost of a slower rate of extrusion due to the smaller output diameter. This reduction in print speed, however, is not quite as dramatic as you would expect, and the benefits far outweigh and negatives if you really need high precision for a highly detailed model.

While some people enjoy printing with smaller 3D Printer Nozzles to ascertain even better quality and printing accuracy, and others choose to use large nozzles for speed-printing models or objects that don’t need to be perfectly accurate, and the choice really just depends on what model needs to be printed next. This is why we try to stock all sizes of nozzles, so that 3D Makers like you can get a full range to cater to a wide selection of different prints, from extremely fast large output nozzles to the slower but more precise small output nozzles, as well as the classics such as 0.4mm MK8 Nozzle, which of course is a great blend between both major benefits.

Typical Applications for the Creality Original 0.2mm MK8 Nozzle:

These Creality Original 0.2mm MK8 Nozzles can certainly be used as ideal replacements for the stock nozzles that come installed on 3D Printers like the Creality CR-10S, but feature a smaller diameter, which makes them particularly good for high detail 3D Printing. And while larger nozzles may be able to print faster, with a larger output translating to more filament extruded per second, smaller nozzles like these print slower, but far more precisely. This is why we always make sure to keep a good amount in stock, so that you never have to put your 3D Printing fun on hold, and if you want to switch out your nozzle or replace a worn nozzle, you can simply get Creality Original Spares like these to swap out quickly and before going straight back to making all of the models, parts, tools and other objects that you love to print.

Quick Guide to Changing your Creality MK8 Nozzle:

When swapping out 3D Printer Nozzles from other components, we recommend utilising the hot tightening technique for optimal thermal coupling. To do this, simply follow these easy steps, while being careful not to burn yourself of course.

  • Unscrew the heat break from the heatsink by about half a turn, to be sure you are not tightening against the heat break in later stages.
  • Heat up your hotend to 285°C, but do not overshoot as you risk damaging your thermistor.
  • Remove the existing nozzle from the heater block and insert the new nozzle.
  • While firmly gripping the heater block, slowly tighten the nozzle. Be careful, however, that you not apply any torque through the heat break, as they are fragile and relatively easy to break when loose.
  • Turn off the heating unit and allow the hot side to cool.
  • Finally, once the nozzle is installed and cooled down, tighten the heat break back into the heatsink and ensure that there are no loose parts.

The reason for this is that the aluminium heater blocks used have a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than the brass and steel used in the nozzles and Heat Breaks. This results in a small gap being created between the nozzle and the break inside the block when the hot end is at temperature, but this only happens if the nozzle has been tightened while cold.
