For anyone who has printed or even seen DLP Prints before, you’ll certainly understand that DLP Printers were primarily built to produce aesthetically stunning models, art and other designs. Not only do they step up on the layer height precision, but LCD DLP also steps up on X/Y accuracy as well by utilising high definition displays and clever anti-aliasing techniques to provide even more smoothness and clarity. However, if there’s one area that DLP & SLA Printing lacks, it’s in the reasonably limited number of colours available to choose from, and with the price of 3D Resins being a little on the expensive side, you typically have to commit to a colour that you know you will enjoy so that you aren’t disappointed throughout an entire bottle of the polymer.

Fortunately, with the introduction of the Monocure 3D Pigment Set, you can now create your own custom colours for your 3D Resins, letting you really get the most out of your DLP Printers and create beautiful masterpieces that genuinely match what your imagination had originally perceived. However, while having the entire set is quite important, since the Magenta, Cyan, Yellow and Black make up the full CMYK colour range, it’s not surprising that some colours will be more popular than others depending on the user, and that’s why we’ve made sure to stock extra Individual Pigments, such as this Monocure 3D Magenta Pigment. This way, you don’t have to buy an entire set of 3D Resin Pigments when you’re running out of a single base colour, but can instead just get an inexpensive single replacement and get straight back to turning imaginations into realities, and colouring your prints so that they perfectly match your original vision.

Please Note: While it may be obvious for anyone who has worked with pigments before, it’s important to note that these are extremely effective at staining, and as such will probably stain whatever it comes into contact with. With that being said, it’s a good idea to use the Wham Bam Slap Mat, the Wham Bam Mega Slap Mat, or a similar kind of resistant mat to work on, and of course utilise gloves just like when handling 3D Resins.

Monocure 3D Magenta Pigment

Monocure 3D Magenta Pigment

Within the world of SLA and DLP Printing, there are few brands who can truly stand out from the crowd with quality 3D Resins, and amongst these brands, the choice of colours, polymers and other unique characteristics are extremely limited. That was true, at least until we found Monocure, who are arguably the most impressive 3D Resin brand in the world.

Formed by chemists with a real passion for liquid polymers and UV-sensitive “plastics”, these resins have been designed, refined and perfected over the past few years to provide hobbyists and desktop fabricators with top quality resins that are not only effective, but also diverse in the ranges of different colours, types of polymers, and intended use cases.
