Creating cool smart home projects is one of the best things about being a Maker, (that, and being able to fix things when they break) but what always makes projects even better is when you make them interactive or reactive in some kind of way. Alarm systems are a prime example of something we can tinker with to make even better with DIY gadgets.
This Vibration Sensor Module detects bumps and shakes with an internal inductance coil in a protective case. An onboard LED indicator flicks on when vibration is detected. This motion sensor also emits a low output which can connect to your Arduino and activate an alarm system. With a power supply of 5V to 15V, this module has adjustable sensitivity and makes for a cost-effective vibration sensor.
