eSun ePLA-GF Reinforced Glass Fibre Filament - 1.75mm Natural 1kg

This 1kg of eSun PLA Glass Fibre Filament is reinforced for printing functional parts with impressive strength, impact resistance, and the easy printability of PLA.

Please Note: eSun has recently changed their filament spool material. You may receive a cardboard spool, instead of the plastic spools depicted above. This move means a more environmentally friendly design to their 3D filament spools which comfortably sit on your 3D printer's standard spool holder for smooth filament feeding.

The exotic filaments category is always exciting to update, with new and unique polymers and copolymers being introduced to the market each and every year. One such example of these enticing Exotic Filaments is our 1.75mm 1kg spools of eSun PLA-GF Filament, which is comprised of reinforced glass fibre to add impressive mechanical properties. With this tough advanced filament, you can create prints with high impact resistance and wear-resistance.

This 3D printing filament is considered advanced but it is also based heavily on the popular PLA filament, making it that bit easier to print with than other technical exotic filaments. Without even requiring a higher print temperature, the eSun PLA-GF produces a smooth surface with a beautiful matte finish of natural white. Glass fibre contains extremely thin strands of glass. This additive makes glass fibre filament wear resistant, impact resistant, and highly rigid. These factors all work together to make this filament very enjoyable to print with, while the impressive strength will ensure that each print is structurally sound. Glass fibre filaments, like eSun PLA-GF filament, are very popular and useful for mechanical, custom engineered, and functional prints.

Additional Note: When printing with this 3D Filament, you will need to use a 0.5mm or 0.4mm Stainless Steel Nozzle due to the highly abrasive nature of the copolymer, since a standard bronze nozzle will wear down quickly if used to print glass fibre.

Shenzhen eSUN Industrial Co., Ltd was established in 2002 in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and has rapidly become one of the leading international suppliers of 3D Printing Filament. They specialise in research, development and production of degradable polymer materials, and have grown their catalogue of filaments to include PLA, ABS, PC, PVA, and a wide range of other polymers and copolymers.

Their list of exclusive filament formulas include unique materials like wood, aluminium, bronze and other materials to create highly specialised filaments that can stretch, bend, be moulded or otherwise behave in very unique ways. Their filaments are also commonly characterised by their absolutely round shape, extremely low diameter tolerance, uniform colours and impressively stable melting points. These characteristics, in combination with their long-term insistent policy of “Best Quality, Reasonable Price” has garnered them a large share of the market, with their reputation commonly preceding them within knowledgeable online and offline 3D Printing communities.

eSUN’s popularity in the industry has also helped to produce sustainable partnerships with many internationally famous 3D Printer manufacturers and distributors, with DIYElectronics having sole distributorship rights to provide their 3D Printing Filaments to South Africa and neighbouring African countries.
