PLA or Polylactic acid is a modern thermoplastic derived from renewable resources and is perfectly suited to 3D printing! It's easy to print with as it sticks to plain glass (a little hairspray helps a lot too!) , has a low printing temp and does not warp easily. A heated print bed really makes the PLA stick during the print and prevents warping on those large objects.
