The Duplicator 7 3D Printer makes use of high resolution UV Digital Light Projection through an HD LCD screen which offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels to cure UV sensitive liquid resin using the vat photopolymerisation technology. For 3D Printing, the D7 selectively cures liquid resin layer after layer in order to build an object. It uses the 395-405 nm wavelength and is compatible with most of the resin materials available on the market. This allows for extremely high resolution 3D printing of small objects at high speed.

The Duplicator 7 has a build area of 120x68x200mm and a layer resolution capability of little as 20 microns. This, accompanied with some high quality UV Resin, allows for extremely fine and detailed prints with complicated overhangs. Most of these resins are compatible with the wax casting process allowing you to cast molds using your detailed 3D printed objects as a negative. Due to these capabilities, UV DLP resin 3D Printers have become extremely popular in the dental, jewelry, model and art industries.

"Over the years we've received many inquiries from the dental and jewelry industries asking for high precision 3D printers. These are industries that require ultra results and FDM 3D printers were just not the right technology for them. Until now, we have not been able to cater to these highly technical industries. However, with the Duplicator 7 we have the opportunity to reach new customers who have already expressed an interest in the Wanhao brand," says Jose A. Rivera, Wanhao USA CEO.

Note: Cured resins are generally not very durable, therefore this is not ideal for manufacturing prototypes or end-use parts.

Wanhao have been supplying 3D Printers internationally since as early as 2012, and have rapidly garnered a world-renowned reputation for quality machines, parts and components. After originally banding together as a group of friends and purchasing a Makerbot Thing-O-Matic, they created their own “Duplicator 1” 3D Printer, which was essentially a replica of the Thing-O-Matic, with slight modifications and alterations to make it better suit typical users.

Wanhao’s strengths have always stemmed from the fact that they are both 3D Makers and 3D Printer Manufacturers, which allows them to understand the needs of the end user when developing new models or upgrades. It is the same reason why they always make sure to stock spares of all of the different parts and components, because they believe that you should never have to buy an entirely new printer if one part breaks, and should instead be able to simply replace whichever part is broken.

There are few 3D Printing manufacturers with as much experience and reputation as Wanhao, which is why we have chosen them as one of our top suppliers here at DIYElectronics. Not only do they continue to bring out exciting new models and upgrades for existing models, but they also align with our own company culture and values by proactively supplying all of the spare parts that customers might need – so that you, as an end user, never have to source spares or alternatives if you have problems with faulty or broken parts throughout the lifespan of your 3D Printer.
