Towards the end of 2017, with the introduction of the Creality CR-10 3D printer, we were pleasantly surprised at how the previously unknown Creality Brand managed to produce such a high quality printers from relatively inexpensive parts, with a price tag that blew competitors out of the water. This surprise was then compounded by the subsequent introductions of the S-Series and Ender-Series of printers, which catapulted the Creality brand into a leading position within the industry of Hobbyist 3D Printers, and we’re pleased to announce that they have carried on this dedication to continuous improvements (and surprises) with their new Pro-Series of 3D printers.

With this in mind, we’re incredibly excited to announce the new Creality CR-10S Pro 3D Printer, which has taken all of the best features from as far back as the original CR-10, to produce a brilliant machine that not only focuses on quality, but also one of the best user-experiences that any 3D printer could offer. It is a prime demonstration that Creality doesn’t just develop their new models without aims or objectives, but instead takes the time to listen to what people want in order to refine their designs into the best end-products possible.

The New Features of the Creality CR-10S Pro 3D Printer:

The Creality CR-10S Pro offers the impressive 300x300x400mm build volume that made the Creality CR-10S such a hot topic amongst online communities, but this model has adopted the sturdy design of the dual-extrusion Creality CR-X. However, the Creality CR-10S Pro is much more than just that, and the refinements include a wide range of electrical, mechanical and user-interface improvements too. So let’s do a quick rundown on some of the key features that differentiate this model from the plethora of other 3D Printers on the market. The feature-set of the Creality CR-10S Pro includes:

  • A fresh new Creality 3D V2.4.1 motherboard, with ultra-quiet stepper drivers and smoothers to improve X-Y motion.
  • A unique auto/manual hybrid bed levelling system that Creality have labelled the “Diversified Levelling System”, which offers automatic levelling via a powerful inductive probe as well as manual adjustments for even greater control.
  • Imported Capricorn PTFE tubing for more consistent filament feeding, which also offers the benefit of reduced retraction to save a surprising amount of time on long prints.
  • A built-in all-metal filament runout sensor with roller limit switch for a long lifespan of repeatable results.
  • An exciting Bondtech-like dual drive gear Bowden extruder assembly for high grip and consistent, slip-free extrusion.
  • Dual Z-Axis leadscrews that offer better positional accuracy towards the top of the build area.
  • A reliable and high-powered Mean Well power supply, with a quality DC-DC solid state relay, which has helped to reduce bed heating times to around 5 minutes.
  • And finally, an intuitive colour touchscreen LCD with audio enabled to add some flare and make the user experience easier and more enjoyable than previous user interfaces.

While these are some of the most exciting features that the Creality CR-10S Pro offers, it also includes a good range of other features that have become stock-standard on many of the more recent 3D printer models too. And of course this is backed by our own DIYElectronics 6-month warranty and comprehensive support via our Freshdesk ([email protected]), which of course ensures that no matter what problem you might run into while learning the new machine, we’ll be here to help you get the printing quality and enjoyment you want from your investment.

Our Final Verdict on the Creality CR-10S Pro:

After a week of testing, experimenting and pushing the new CR-10S Pro to near its limits, we’re eager to let you know that this 3D Printer rightfully deserves the title of “Pro” that has been attached to it. Creality have clearly learned from all of the minor errors from their CR-10, CR-20 and Ender ranges, and have been able to produce a 3D Printer that outperforms competitive models in almost every aspect. This has made it, in our minds at least, the new flagship model for the Creality 3D Brand, and we’re delighted that we got to fiddle with a demo-model before most people even got to see it in stores.

Fortunately, because we had a chance to get to know the machine before releasing it out into the wild, you can rest assured that we will as capable as ever in supporting all customers who acquire a CR-10S Pro, with the same unrivalled support that we strive to give with every single product. So if you love the Creality brand like we do, and are perhaps looking for new 3D Printing machinery to sink your Maker-teeth into, the Creality CR-10S Pro is ready to offer you endless hours of fun with a full complement of new features that all add the right kinds of value to the right places.

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
