It is well-known fact that Creality 3D, over just a few short years, have become some of the world leaders within the industry of Hobbyist 3D Printing. In fact, there are very few 3D Makers out there who haven’t yet heard of the Creality Name, the CR-10 or Ender 3 models, or perhaps the incredible value for money that Creality strive for. However, if you’ve loved Creality 3D Printers like we have since they first made the Creality brand a household name with their classic Creality CR-10, then you’re going to be blown away by their latest model: The Creality CR-10 MAX.
The Creality CR-10 MAX, despite the name, is the most recent addition to the CR-10S Pro Series, and is the culmination of the past two years of market-leading 3D Printer designs, all refined and distilled into one of the most amazing 3D Printers that we’ve ever had the pleasure of using. And in learning from over two years of reviews, user feedback and oftentimes assistance from some of leading minds in the 3D Printing world, The Creality CR-10 MAX is ready to blow away the competition!
Well, I’m glad you asked, because there’s a lot about this machine that proves it’s more than just a hobbyist 3D Printer, even though the price still falls within the hobbyist price range, and the first factor that comes to mind would have to be the incredible size. Featuring a massive build volume of 450x450mm squared and 470mm high, the CR-10 MAX is ready to print LARGE straight out of the box, with the included Z-Axis Stabilisers to ensure you don’t even have to do any modifications in order to utilise that MAX size that it offers. This, of course, is complemented by all of the fantastic new features that were refined and polished from the CR-10 Series, Ender Series and most recent Pro Series, with only the best of these making it to the final design.
But enough talk! Let’s get into the juicy details now, and explore some of the most exciting features that you can expect to find on the Creality CR-10 MAX:
After enjoying some time with this beautiful machine, we’re confident in saying that this is certainly the very best 3D Printer that Creality have ever produced, and it is certainly going to rival even some of the Professional-Grade 3D Printers on the market. With an almost excessively large build volume, incredibly high quality features, as well as out-of-the-box print-ready upgrades installed and integrated before the machine even lands on your doorstep, we can’t really imagine any ways in which to make the Creality CR-10 MAX better.
So, if you’ve been saving up and waiting for the next great model so that you can get involved in the 3D Printing community and really dive in head-first into 3D Making, we guarantee that you won’t be disappointed in The Creality CR-10 MAX.

In carrying forward a good range of amazing features that have been developed and refined in the recent Creality CR-10S Pro, the Creality CR-10 MAX actually outshines almost every 3D Printer that we’ve had the opportunity to test for ourselves. In fact, while there were a few small factors from the CR-10S Pro that we weren’t entirely happy with, this newer CR-10 MAX has effectively remedied all of these, making it the new (very impressive) Flagship model for the world-renowned Creality Brand.
In terms of upgrades when compared to the CR-10S Pro – which was an major shift into higher quality branded parts, as well as improvements gleamed directly from user feedback – the CR-10 MAX has not only refined, but also improved on the fantastic upgrades introduced with the Pro Range of Creality machines. For this reason, we originally wanted to label this printer as a “CR-10 S4 Pro”, but after subjecting the machine through rigorous tests and difficult demands (we like to torture these machines and see what they’re capable of) we simply cannot find anything wrong with this finely crafted piece of beautiful technology.
So, as a final verdict, we are exceptionally excited that we were lucky enough to be some of the first in South Africa The World to test out the Creality CR-10 MAX, and we're even more excited to let you know that we will definitely be stocking it in SA with our full seal of approval, as well as our commitment to comprehensive support. Not only did it live up to the high expectations that we’ve come to expect from Creality 3D, but it actually surpassed these expectations both in terms of quality, as well as in terms of the MASSIVE 450x450x470mm build volume that the Creality CR-10 MAX boasts.
Additional Note: For what may be the first time in Creality's history of creating 3D Printers, the initial demo unit was perfect, and required no additional iterations or changes before Creality shipped out the entire first batch. As such, you can expect these beautiful machines to operate perfectly from the get-go, which is a feature that only a handful of hobbyist 3D Printers can actually boast.
Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.
The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.
If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
