If there’s one thing that we certainly love about 3D Making, it’s all of the exciting noises, whirrs, buzzes and strange squeaks that come from electrons pulsing through the circuits of the many small and large parts. However, we can definitely understand how these noises could get old, especially for Makers who don’t have the luxury of a “Demo-Room” like we do here at DIYElectronics, and these noises can become a serious frustration over time, particularly for family members who simply aren’t interested in this kind of tech’.

This is why we have chosen to take advantage of the relationship that we’ve been building with Creality 3D, and have requested a specialised DIYElectronics Ender 3 Pro Silent Edition. This beautiful machine has been designed to the exact same specification as the most recent versions of the Ender 3 Pro, but have been specially equipped with the new silent motherboards so as to combat the many different sounds and “songs” from the stepper drivers and electronics. This means that you, as a noise-conscious 3D Maker, don’t have to deal with any Motherboard replacements or unnecessary extra costs, and you can keep your warranty safely "un-voided" – with peace of mind in knowing that the machine has being thoroughly tested and quality-assured before even leaving the Creality Warehouse.

Although our new Creality Ender 3 Pro Silent Edition is built to the exact same specification as the typical Ender 3 Pro 3D Printers that we have always stocked, what differentiates it from the standard model is the new Creality 3D V1.1.5 Motherboard, which has been equipped with world-renowned TMC2208 Trinamic Drivers. This greatly diminishes all of the high-pitched noises that come from the 3D Printer (Yes, those squeaks and squeals are the Stepper Drivers in action), leaving just the soft sounds of the fans – which is relatively silent and often considered a “white noise” compared to the stepper driver sounds.

So, if you love 3D Printing but hate the never-ending noises, or if you just want to provide your family with a little extra sanity as you wile away the hours in your 3D Making workshop, then the Creality Ender 3 Pro S is the ideal choice for you!

And finally, just to sweeten this awesome deal, we are currently working on a DIY Kit that will let you replace all of your Cooling Fans with silent versions, making the machine truly silent in all regards. However, we are still trying to find the most silent fans that we possibly can, and we are constantly testing different models to make sure we find only the best fans for truly silent operations. So be sure to keep an eye out for this kit, and consider signing up to our newsletter if you haven’t done so already, so you can be notified early and be first in line to get your Ender 3 Pro Silent Fan Upgrade Kit when it’s ready.

Please Note: This description has focused on the silent characteristics of our new Ender 3 Pro Silent Edition, but if you’re looking for more juicy details on the base machine, be sure to check out the Original Ender 3 Pro Page, where we compare it to other models on the market and give our verdict on the great features that it offers.

Our Verdict on the DIYElectronics Exclusive Creality Ender 3 Pro Silent Edition:

Before we begin, we must admit that we may be a bit biased towards this verdict, since we specially requested it from Creality 3D. However, we always try to provide a good objective view, regardless of whether it’s a DIYElectronics exclusive or not.

With that being said, we are thoroughly delighted with just how effective this new motherboard with Trinamic Drivers have been in quietening the machine, since before testing them out for ourselves, we were a little unsure of how much value the silent characteristics would add. However, this new silent edition has certainly impressed us, and we can confidently say that if you love 3D Printing but hate the noise, then you will fall in love when you hear – or better yet, when you don’t hear – the Creality Ender 3 Pro S operate.

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
