As Makers and suppliers who have been dealing with Creality 3D for a good while now, we’ve grown accustomed to the fact that Creality are very seldom satisfied with the first model, and are almost guaranteed to take what they learn from the first model to produce one or even multiple reiterations that each improve upon the designs. This is no different for the Ender 5, and while many Makers thought that the Ender 5 PLUS was the reiterated version, the truth is that the Ender 5 PLUS can almost be regarded as its own printer, while this more recent Ender 5 Pro is designed to be the true successor to the Ender 5, offering the exact same features, but just improved with quality of life upgrades and addons focused towards the user experience.

The Creality Ender 5 Pro 3D Printer is quite similar to our exclusive Ender 5 Silent Edition, but has been equipped with not only the Creality V1.1.5 Silent Motherboard and TMC2208 Stepper Drivers, but also a rugged All-Metal Extruder Body, as well as Capricorn PTFE tubing. These two feed-related features work extremely well together, and offer a noticeable improvement to the level of 3D Filament control, which of course leads to improved print quality and reduced chances of clogging or tangling. And while those features are adding more value to the actual printing capabilities of the machine, the silent motherboard and drivers help to ensure a near-silent 3D Printing experience aside from the soft whirring of fans.

So let’s take a look at the specifications of the Creality Ender 5 Pro, which should be quite familiar to you if you already know the Ender 5:

Our Final Verdict on the Creality Ender 5 Pro 3D Printer:

As you can see, the cool new features of the Creality Ender 5 Pro are not necessarily mind-blowing, but are certainly worth the slight difference in cost for these two beautiful 3D Printers. However, it must be said that we wouldn’t recommend buying an Ender 5 Pro if you already have a Creality Ender 5 3D Printer, but if you’re looking to buy your first 3D Printer, then the Ender 5 Pro is a great choice to hit the ground running with nice user-convenience focused upgrades. Alternatively, if you already have a Creality Ender 5, but feel like the upgrades of the Ender 5 Pro are worth going out of your way for, you can always simply upgrade your Ender 5 to an Ender 5 Pro by simply equipping it with the Creality V1.1.5 Motherboard, TMC2208 Stepper Drivers, and of course the All-Metal Extruder and Capricorn PFTE Tubing.

Brilliant Printer

The Ender 5 Pro is a great printer to get started with. It is easy to set up, and bed levelling is relatively simple. After that, it's very friendly indeed, and produces great prints (quietly, too!)
A filament runout system would have been a great addition here, but it's absence is no train-smash. This is a great place to get going from, and it's price is good, too.

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
