Great Features of the Creality Halot-Lite

• 80% Precision Light Source with 3840 x 2400 Resolution – Unlike FDM 3D Printers there are far fewer parts that can be upgraded with resin 3D Printers. So, changing a critical part such as the light source is a high risk. However, Creality succeeded in achieving high reward for their new 120W power super spotlight and integral light system in the Halot-One 3D Printer which the Halot-Lite has uniquely adapted for even more efficiency! This refraction-and-reflection-based system consists of 6 light sources capable of outputting 3800uw/cm2 and claims an impressive 80% above illumination uniformity. Compared to the 40W Parallel Matrixed UV Array, found in the LD series, the 120W Power Super Spotlight allows for faster and higher detailed prints when combined with the 8.9” Monochrome LCD and powerful motherboard.
• Powerful Creality Motherboard with WiFi – Creality has developed a powerful new motherboard for the Halot series. The Halot-Lite motherboard features a powerful ARMCortex-A53 microcontroller and 64-bit GPU to provide faster processing times and ultimately faster printing speeds. An interesting addition to the Halot-Lite motherboard is the built-in WiFi. So, if you are tired transfering files using a memory card, or you are away from your printer, then you can slice and send files to your Halot-Lite remotely using HALOTBOX. The WiFi capabilities also allow the Halot-Lite to perform Over-The-Air firmware updates at the touch of a button.
• 5” Capacitive Touch Screen with Efficient Creality UI – Creality has recently started putting lots of effort into making their 3D Printers as user-friendly as possible, and the Halot-Lite is no different. Instead of the 3.5” or 4.3” Touchscreen found on the LD series, the Halot-Lite features a large 5” Capacitive Colourful Touch Screen. This means that the interface is clearly visible, and buttons are easier to press. To complement this display, Creality has released a new user interface that is designed to be simple, responsive, and easy to navigate. All the features you need are there for your convenience, such as changing settings like exposure times straight on your machine instead of needing to re-slice your files.
• Double Heat Dissipation for Reduced Odour – The Creality Halot-Lite includes an activated carbon air filtration system. Resin Makers will know how unpleasant the fumes can become when printing with strong resin materials. We highly recommend placing your printer in a well-ventilated space, built-in filter or not. However, the Halot-Lite does well to dissipate the odour from within the printer. The system intelligently detects the heat source and works to quickly evaporate the fumes, reducing odour emission and making it a little easier to keep your room freshly aerated.

With all this in mind, it made sense as to why Creality moved away from adding this to the LD series and rather started a fresh and exciting new resin Halot Series. Our Verdict on the Creality Halot-Lite 3D Printer:

It is clear Creality has broken away from the LD range with the release of the Halot series. The DIYElectronics team have been eager to really dive in and discover everything this new 3D printer range has to offer, and we are happy to say we are thoroughly impressed.  The Creality Halot-Lite is an example of the innovation we love to see from the Creality Brand, stepping it up a notch further with the unique features we’ve pointed out in the description above. During our own tinkering, we’ve made a few extra observations that we couldn’t wait to share with you, our valued customers.

The Creality Halot-Lite is a medium sized printer in the Halot Series, with the Halot-Max being the giant of them all. However, this 192 x 120 x 200mm build volume is large and you can enjoy the wonderful smart features also present in the Halot-One and Halot-Sky Printers. The Halot-Lite is the perfect middleground printer offering a huge print size for 3D Hobbyists looking to print bigger scale models at incredible detail. This also means that a larger vat is required for the Halot-Lite and it’s good to keep in mind a healthy helping of resin is needed to ensure you don’t run out halfway through printing. Of course, in mentioning the vat, we were pleasantly surprised that the Halot-Lite features a vat with two handles and two curved sides to help with pouring leftover resin out. We were only sad to see that the Halot-Lite doesn’t include the same flip-open protective cover as the Halot-Sky which helps minimalize hassles even further. Still, those tiny additions are a dream for the ease of working with liquid resin in your vat. Creality has put thought into the features they added to the Halot-Lite 3D Printer and made it a perfect balance between convenient fun features and affordable practicality.
