The new Halot-Mage S 14K Resin Printer is here! We’re honoured to be one of the first to stock a 14K resolution resin printer. After the mind-blowing results of the 8K Halot-Mage, we were gobsmacked to hear another model spring out with even better print quality. 14K resolution is unreal. The detailed resin prints from this Halot-Mage S feel so lifelike, down to minute expressions on miniatures and figurines. The results are truly magical.

Don’t let the similar casing fool you; the Halot-Mage S 14K may mirror the Halot-Mage Pro in appearance, but in function, it excels. Creality listened to the response of the community and modified the Halot-Mage S 14K to meet our expectations for a high-quality, convenient resin printer. The fiddly resin pump is no longer inbuilt, and the noise level is reduced while 3D printing. With a build volume of 223x126x230mm, the Halot-Mage S 14K features the third generation of integral light printing and a new Dynax motion system. Turn on the Dynax+ mode for 3-4 times faster print speeds of 150mm/h. The 14K mono LCD print screen results are a sight to behold. You will see the hair, fabric, skin textures, and other organic shapes come to life on your 3D models.

Convenient and Epic Features of the Creality Halot-Mage S 14K?

  • Dynax Motion and High-Speed Mode – The Halot-Mage S 14K features a Dynax motion system with high-speed motors and steady motion. You can lift and lower the build plate in just 1.2 seconds, eliminating the painfully slow setup time for your prints. If you don’t need top quality, the Dynax+ ultra-fast mode speeds up the print speed to 150mm/h. You can print at three to four times faster than normal for your prototypes, then slow down for ultimate 14K resolution prints.
  • 14K Resolution with Integral Light Source 3.0 – Creality’s new super spotlight and integral light system has another 3rd iteration in the Halot-Mage S 14K. Boasting a 90% light uniformity, the Halot-Mage S contains a 10.1” monochrome LCD screen with an ultra-high 13320x5120 (14K) resolution. In addition to their “Pictor” FEP film, these features work together to produce exquisite prints at fast speeds. Pared with a powerful motherboard, this printer creates magical detailed prints.
  • Reinforced Z-axis Structure – The Halot-Mage S 14K 3D Printer is a large format resin printer and is built to accommodate those big models you’re itching to print while maintaining micron-level precision. Heavily reinforced with dual linear z-axis guide rails and a dual ball and screw configuration, the Creality Halot-Mage S 14K will feel like a mini tank on your desk. It’s durability and stable machine body eliminate the chance of backlash for impressive quality printing performance, even at high speeds.
  • Flip Protective Cover – Working with UV-curable resin can feel like a messy process as you use gloves to protect your skin from the evasive chemicals and become conscious of the surfaces you touch. Something as simple as removing the loose cover from a resin printer can feel obstructive and demand extra tabletop space to place it down while you take a print off the bed. However, using a single finger, you can lift the Creality Halot-Mage S 14K protective UV-resistant cover with ease. Hinges hold the cover lid in place and out of your way, making post processing that bit easier and more convenient.
  • WiFi Connectivity – An interesting addition to the Halot-Mage series is the built-in WiFi. So, if you are tired of having to transfer files using a memory card or you are away from your printer, then you can slice and send files to your Halot-Mage S 14K remotely using HALOTBOX. The WiFi capabilities also allow the Halot-Mage Pro to perform over-the-air firmware updates at the touch of a button.
  • Air Purification System – A replaceable activated carbon filter absorbs those pesky, smelly fumes while printing. The filtration system in the Halot-Mage S 14K is 5.8 times larger than found in other Halot models. It is recommended to replace these carbon filters every 3 months for continuous clean air. The vent hole at the back allows you to connect a vent tube and send the smells right out the window.

With all these new features, it is a wonder how Creality offers these amazing printers at such an affordable price. Their resin Halot Series is taking a wonderful turn if they continue to listen to community feedback and optimise their printers for beginner-friendly convenience. If you are interested in resin 3D printing, be sure to take a look at the UW-01 and UW-02 clean and cure stations to make post-processing much easier.

Our Verdict on the Creality Halot-Mage S 3D Printer:

The Halot-Mage S 14K is proof of Creality’s customer-focused values. At first glance, this printer seems like a carbon copy of the Halot Mage-Pro, but with a new 14K resolution sticker on the front. 14K resolution is impressive enough to catch our attention! Looking a bit deeper, we were taken aback by the differences based on community feedback that add to convenience.

Firstly, Creality’s step into 14K resolution printing is a welcome surprise. If we were mindblown before by 8K resolution, now we are gobsmacked by the sheer detail the Halot-Mage S 14K is capable of. The Halot-Mage S 14K includes a 10.1-inch LCD screen with a third iteration of their integral light source system. In addition to their “Pictor” FEP film, these features work together to produce exquisite prints at fast speeds. With a build volume of 223x126x230mm, the Halot-Mage S 14K is designed for professionals and accommodates the workload with dual z-axis guide rails. The Dynax motion system provides a new fast mode that increases the speed to 150mm/h. While the Halot-Mage Pro boasted 170mm/h, this new Dynax system seems to deliver much smoother results at still decent quality. We’re encouraged to see that high-speed resin printing is developing. The Halot-Mage S 14K also does away with the resin pump after the community’s mixed feelings, making it an optional addition. The same flip protective cover is still a delight, making it easy to access your prints without dealing with an obstructive lid. But above all, the 14K resolution is immaculate. Tiny details that you never noticed before come to life on this printer. Photos can barely do these lifelike textures justice.

Creality Halot Mage S 14K Resin 3D Printer - CL-103L

Creality Halot Mage S 14K Resin 3D Printer - CL-103L

Although Creality 3D have been working within the industry since 2014, their addition of the Creality CR-10 series is what really catapulted them to the front line of competition, as it offered substantially better quality compared to other 3D printers – while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexities of the machines.

The quality of Creality’s 3D Printers and accessories shows through in their market history, with the brand selling around 3000 printers in their first year on the market, followed by about 10,000 sales over the next year. Now, Creality easily sells around 30,000 or more 3D printers each year, with sales continuously rising as they bring out more models. These are impressive numbers when considering the fact that they entered the industry as unknown competitors, quickly rising through the ranks and now even competing with Wanhao and similar top brands.

If you are looking for excellent 3D Printers that offer affordability without compromising on quality, Creality 3D is certainly a brand that you should take note of. From the basic Creality Ender 2 all the way up to the large build volume Creality CR-10 S5, there are few other brands who are capable of offering such a refined package while still maintaining some of the most enticing prices in the industry.
