Although this Breadboard PSU is only capable of a total current draw of 500mA, it’s important to note that it’s not meant to power an Arduino or similar microcontroller, but instead is meant to power everything else that your MCU needs to use. As such, you can power up your Arduino from a USB port or external PSU, then power this little module up the same way via the onboard DC2.1 or USB-B ports, and provide all of the different parts of your project with the power they need to operate as you expect. Furthermore, with a handy on/off push switch, you can also cut power without having to pull out jumpers, and this adds an extra layer of safety for any sensitive Components that you might be using.
