As Makers, we simply can’t help but get intrigued when new gadgets and doodads are presented to us, and this is the same for both big and small gadgets, as well as simple modifications to somewhat standard things we already love. This is what has inspired us to start stocking awesome gadgets like the ES15 Motion Control Screwdriver, an upgraded “Smart Screwdriver” that has been designed with Makers in mind – offering a programming interface for personalisation, built-in angular velocity sensor and MCU chips, compatible with multiple types of bits.

The ES15 Motion Control Screwdriver was designed by the ever-famous Miniware, who also invented the world-renowned MiniDSO TS100 Soldering Iron among many great smart tools for Makers. The ES15 Motion Control Screwdriver has working modes of Smart Motion Control and Directional Modes, which you can flip between rotate and reverse with a simple wrist movement. Front LED lights also illuminate the working spot, eliminating the need to hold a flashlight between your teeth while your holding parts in place. Three gears on the ES15 Motion Screwdriver adjusts speed and sensitivity. Besides being just awesome, these features mean that you barely have to lift a finger anymore when tightening or loosening screws, and you can simply place the screwdriver bit into the screwhead and utilise the onboard sensors and motors to do all the work for you.

Upgraded from the ES121, this ES15 Motion Control Screwdriver has a longer runtime of 6 hours and a larger OLED screen to display sensitivity and speed information. The programmable torque classes also provide an extra benefit, in addition to pure convenience, as these classes can be defined for very specific applications. This helps to prevent the stripping of screws, while allowing you to quickly set up to five different torque levels without having to reprogram the tool.

These bits come in two distinct packs, with one pack of seven common bits, as well as another pack of seven uncommon bits.

With so many awesome features included with this ultra-fancy ES15 Motion Control Screwdriver,  you can rest assured that, no matter what flat, star, hex-head or other type of screw you’re presented with, you will be able to not only find the perfect bit for the application, but also do it with minimal effort – allowing you to do your projects faster, more efficiently and, of course, in a far more enjoyable manner than with a collection of standard Screwdrivers.

ES15 Motion Control Screwdriver

Guangzhou e-Design Intelligent Technology, or more affectionately known as Miniware to us electronics enthusiasts, is the brand that created the awesome TS100 Soldering Iron, and this single item is what helped them rapidly grow in popularity, due to the impressive quality coupled with fancy features – all in a beautifully portable design that can even be powered by LiPo Cell Packs!

Although Miniware remained somewhat unknown before the launch of the TS100, they have actually been involved in electronics design since as far back as 2000, and they hold the title of being the first in the world to design a portable handheld oscilloscope in 2009. Since then, however, Miniware has been rapidly gaining popularity due to the impressive level of quality and sophistication of each their awesome products, and how they manage to fit even more features and functionality into their handheld devices than many of the popular desktop devices within the same price range.

With almost every single one of their awesome products being a truly valuable addition to almost any workshop space, Miniware are one of our favourite brands. And while they certainly don’t release new products often, we simply love to get new goodies in from the moment they are prototyped, so that we can enjoy the awesome new features (both novel and functional) that they have chosen to integrate.
