This Shield is capable of playing 14KHz/16bit WAV and 32KHz/16bit AD4 files of any length, and utilises an onboard DAC and PWM to drive earphones or 0.5W speakers respectively.

The Wave Shield for Arduino uses a TF/Micro SD card to store and play the audio files from, and only utilises 2 I/O pins to do so, which saves a lot of hassle if you are running short on interfacing space.
