For anyone who remembers the old days of televisions, home phones and other household devices having buttons instead of remotes and touchscreens, you’ll know that, while Buttons & Switches are definitely fun to press, they are not the most ideal ways to interact with most devices. This also goes for electronics and the various projects we like to build, and having a way to switch things on and off remotely, or at least without having to physically press the button, adds a whole lot of convenience as well as functionality to all of the cool things we Make. This is why we love Switching & Relay Modules like this 1 Channel 3.3V to 10V MOSFET Relay Module, which offers a good 20A/36V switching capacity at up to 1KHz frequency, allowing us to enjoy remote switching, but also high-speed switching for more specialised projects too.

Although MOSFET Power Switch Modules act in a very similar way to how proper relays work, they aren’t exactly the same, and instead of having a pick-up and drop-out voltage on the coils, the onboard MOSFET will only react to HIGH and LOW signals from microcontrollers like Arduino & Raspberry Pi. Fortunately though, with a wide control logic ranging from 3.3V up to 10V, it’s relatively easy to harness this function, as you can simply drive pins high and low in your coding to ensure that the switch will close and open and you expect it to. This of course does mean that it may not work quite how you expect when trying to use this module with Light Dependent Resistors or similar type of basic Components, and we recommend using this module only for projects that have a microcontroller that can control it reliably.

With simple controls that can be used alongside almost any microcontroller using 3.3V or higher, a fantastically fast switching rate of up to 1KHz, and a sleek design that focuses on ease of use and long-lasting reliability, these MOSFET Switch Modules are a great for typical switching applications, but also for awesome unique projects like levitators and other projects requiring high-speed switching.
