Stepper Motors are ingenious Electromechanical devices that are quite distinct from standard DC Motors and servo motors, as they specialise in rotational torque, holding torque and linear motion along guiderails or defined paths. This is due to the incredibly high level of precision in rotation and power, resulting in consistent accuracy that you can not only rely on, but even use as tools of measurement if necessary due to the high precision, specific step angles, and predefined steps per full revolution.

This NEMA 23 Stepper Motor is quite a chunky unit, capable of very high torque force for moderate to heavyweight projects requiring a reasonably high power rating. This means that, while it can certainly be used for hobbyist 3D Printing and similar projects or applications, it is better suited to higher-spec’ applications like CNC milling machines and medium to heavy equipment motion along Linear Rails or Paths. This excellent blend of high strength and impressive position accuracy also allows you to enjoy very precise motion for your projects, which is important for applications like videography of photography, in which you need to be able to shoot the perfect shots and extremely precise angles, and with smooth, accurate motion throughout an extended period of time.
