DC-DC Boost Module USB 5V 0.6A - DFRobot

When throwing together quick ideas or on-the-fly prototypes, we Makers can do almost anything as long as we have our soldering irons, the right parts (or similar parts at least) and the motivation to get the task done. However, one aspect that is always somewhat tricky is finding a precise power source to ensure that all of the different parts can work as they should, but that’s why we love these, and many other, DC-DC Boost Modules from DFRobot, which feature a wide 0.9V to 5V input and offer a fixed 5V 0.6A output via an onboard female USB-A Port.

These modules are awesome little tools to have in the travelling Maker’s Electronics toolbox, as they can take in almost any voltage below 5V and boost it up to the ever-common 5V USB Standard. This is ideal for powering up all kinds of different Modules from LED Drivers and tiny Led Strips to Audio Receivers and many more useful items, and let’s you throw together super-quick projects while you’re out and about, at a festival, or even while hitting the nightclub with your friends.
