When Making, baking, and general creating, there are often times in which you may need to rapidly identify a temperature, but aren’t quite eager to set up fancy tools for measuring exact thermal energy levels. In such times, it’s really handy to have a quick Temperature Sensing tool, which you can simply dip into a liquid or loose material in order to get precise temperature readings within moments – and this is precisely what has made us eager to stock the Simple Digital Thermometer with Display from DFRobot.

This simple digital thermometer is designed to be as basic as possible, and features a simple 7-segment display on a control box, with a 1-meter cable that leads to a small but very accurate thermal sensing probe. This allows Makers like you to simply dip the probe into a container of liquid or loose particles, so as to quickly get a basic temperature reading of up to 110°C. This is ideal for a wide range of different use cases, from baking preparations to enclosure temperature monitoring, while the nice and simple display allows for quick readings at a glance.

Typical Applications for this Simple Digital Thermometer with Display:

While there are definitely a lot of different use cases for thermometers and Temperature Sensors, the maximum temperature of 110°C does in fact limit this thermometer. However, with that being said, this thermometer is a very handy tool to have for almost any application in which the temperatures fall within 0°C to 110°C. So, while you will be able to, for example, measure the temperature of a standard kettle as it comes to boil, you won’t be able to leave this thermometer in your oven while you cook food or bake goods.

Finally, in addition to being a really handy and easy to use tool, this thermometer is also battery powered and portable, utilising an extremely minor 4μA current consumption to operate. This means that you don’t have to lug around a power supply or large Batteries, and instead you can simply throw it into your toolbox and utilise it whenever you need to – with the AG13 coin cell batteries typically lasting months or even years before needing to be replaced.
