EPCOS 4.7Ω NTC Thermistor – Leaded
This EPCOS NTC Thermistor offers 4.7Ω resistance and are commonly used for inrush current limiting and repairs of lab power supplies.
NTC thermistors are handy designs that limit current at turn-on with a 4.7Ω resistance. While these little thermistors only detect low temperatures, they are ideal as resistors. Inrush current limiting, switch-mode power supplies, and soft-start motors all benefit from these resistors to function smoothly. We stock EPCOS NTC Thermistors with 4.7Ω resistance to repair lab power supplies such as our switching DC 60V 5A lab PSU.
When mounting your NTC thermistor, please ensure it is safely apart from other heat-sensitive or combustible components. This EPCOS NTC Thermistor may heat to over 170°C. As its temperature increases due to current load, a NTC thermistor reacts and allows you to detect changes in temperature very quickly. When compared to fixed resistors, these NTC thermistors can handle higher inrush currents with the same power consumption. You can replace and interchange these parts easily using their kinked copper wire leads. Grab a handful of EPCOS NTC Thermistors for a rainy day and any repairs and maintenance you need.
