Working with electronic signals and waveforms is difficult, and there isn’t any “easy” way to do so. However, there are often times, especially within Communications and RF projects, in which identifying and evaluating wave functions is imperative for efficiency, effectiveness and the overall success of whatever project you’re busy working on. In such times, the best solution is to have access to a good quality oscilloscope, that allows you to use probes to measure and test waveforms with precision. Most Oscilloscope Devices come with at least one probe set to use with it, however having a spare Digital Storage Oscilloscope Probe can come in handy. This is especially true if you are looking to take full advantage of Oscilloscopes with multiple channels.

This Digital Storage Oscilloscope X1 Probe is stocked as a spare part designed to fit most standard oscilloscopes, including our DS213 Quad Channel Handheld Oscilloscope. When used with it, the X1 Probe allows you to take full advantage of the DS213 Oscilloscope’s two analog inputs, two digital inputs, and a waveform signal generator output, at once. Suitable for many low frequency applications, the Digital Storage Oscilloscope X1 Probe operates at up to 20MHz and has a detachable insulated hook to easily grab pins or points, and an insulated crocodile clip to act as the ground. Beneath the detachable hook is a pin, for times when you want to check a shared lane on a breadboard or need to test the inside of a female socket. The Digital Storage Oscilloscope X1 Probe is a must-have versatile tool to use with your Oscilloscope.

Typical Applications for the Digital Storage Oscilloscope X1 Probe:

Although oscilloscopes tend to vary in features and functionality, the Oscilloscope Probes are all relatively similar. This probe, however, has a few extra features to add convenience to the typical process of waveform and signal testing. Both the detachable hook and the ground clip have good insulation to avoid short circuits and bad readings. And while these features may not sound like much to a novice or beginner Electronic Engineer, our first-hand experience out in the field and in the workshop has shown us that small features like these can make the job substantially easier, quicker and more convenient.

Digital Storage Oscilloscope X1 Probe – 20MHz

Guangzhou e-Design Intelligent Technology, or more affectionately known as Miniware to us electronics enthusiasts, is the brand that created the awesome TS100 Soldering Iron, and this single item is what helped them rapidly grow in popularity, due to the impressive quality coupled with fancy features – all in a beautifully portable design that can even be powered by LiPo Cell Packs!

Although Miniware remained somewhat unknown before the launch of the TS100, they have actually been involved in electronics design since as far back as 2000, and they hold the title of being the first in the world to design a portable handheld oscilloscope in 2009. Since then, however, Miniware has been rapidly gaining popularity due to the impressive level of quality and sophistication of each their awesome products, and how they manage to fit even more features and functionality into their handheld devices than many of the popular desktop devices within the same price range.

With almost every single one of their awesome products being a truly valuable addition to almost any workshop space, Miniware are one of our favourite brands. And while they certainly don’t release new products often, we simply love to get new goodies in from the moment they are prototyped, so that we can enjoy the awesome new features (both novel and functional) that they have chosen to integrate.
