SLA and DLP Printing is often considered to be a futuristic style of fabrication, but has been utilised professionally for a good few years. However, for us hobbyists who simply love to Make at home, this tech is an excitingly modern way to produce high resolution figurines, toys, tools and even dental models with extreme precision and detail.

But of course, even the best DLP printer in the world would be somewhat useless without the necessary UV-sensitive resins, which is why we’ve invested a lot of time and energy to source the best of the best. Our adventures into the world of 3D resins have garnered us the insights we need to offer our quality 3D consumables with confidence, so that we can be sure that we’re offering the resins you need to produce the results you want.

Some of the key brands that we’ve enjoyed the most, out of more then 15 different brands we tried, include Monocure, Wanhao and Anycubic – with each brand offering a distinct advantage over the others in some way. Monocure, for example, offer specialised 3D resins that cater to low-power LCD masking techniques in hobbyist DLP printers, while Wanhao and Anycubic have produced equally good results with their focus on a more general resin that reacts to a wider range of wavelengths.

Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about all of this though, since we’ve already done the hard work in singling out the best brands from the plethora of sub-par performers. And by doing so, you can rest assured that the 3D Resins we stock here in South Africa will offer a standard of quality that you can trust.
