3D Makers with resin printers are DIY magicians creating smooth detailed models of functional parts, decorations, and tabletop miniatures. But sometimes our brilliant inventions are foiled when the first layers of our prints fail to hold adhesion. This problem plagues the Maker community in many ways. Whether using a DLP or SLA printer, the build plate presses into the liquid resin to cure one layer at a time. The movement and tension with the FEP sheet can cause the print to pop off the bed before it completes. Ruining your print and dirtying your resin with cured bits. Fortunately, Monocure 3D has developed a Platebound solution that boosts your resin printer’s adhesion.

This small 30ml bottle of Platebound is long-lasting and helps ensure your print succeeds. Simply scrap the clear solution onto your build plate and watch your 3D print stick easily throughout long jobs. Resin printers are unique in that they essentially print upside down, which makes first layer adhesion even more important. As a UV sensitive solution, Monocure Platebound will cure with the first few case layers and strengthen the adhesion onto the build plate. This also helps boost print quality as it stabilises your print on the build plate. If the model is difficult to remove once complete, you can run hot water over the back of the build plate to loosen the 3D model from the plate.

Monocure 3D Platebound is a unique mixture of transparent UV sensitive liquid that is hardly noticeable on your completed models as it only bounds to the first fer layers. Make your life as an avid 3D Maker easier using the Monocure Platebound with reliable bed adhesion aid. This solution is compatible with all types of UV resins and printers that use UV light to cure layer by layer.

Please Note: The Monocure Platebond is a UV sensitive solution and provides strong adhesion to 3D resin DLP/SLA printer build plates. If you are looking for an adhesion aid for FDM printers, take a look at our Magigoo range.

How to Effectively Apply Monocure Platebond Adhesion Liquid to your Print Surface

To enjoy effective results with your Monocure Platebound adhesion solution, Monocure has given a visual guide on YouTube. It is so simple, anyone can do it! Apply a few drops onto your resin printer’s build plate and smear the Monocure Platebound across the entire print area. Start your print right away, allowing the UV sensitive Platebound to cure with your 3D print as normal.

With the increased strong adhesion, it may be difficult to remove your model. Don’t panic. You can run hot water over the back of your build plate to trigger the release of your 3D printed parts without breaking them.

Monocure 3D Platebond Adhesion – 30ml

Within the world of SLA and DLP Printing, there are few brands who can truly stand out from the crowd with quality 3D Resins, and amongst these brands, the choice of colours, polymers and other unique characteristics are extremely limited. That was true, at least until we found Monocure, who are arguably the most impressive 3D Resin brand in the world.

Formed by chemists with a real passion for liquid polymers and UV-sensitive “plastics”, these resins have been designed, refined and perfected over the past few years to provide hobbyists and desktop fabricators with top quality resins that are not only effective, but also diverse in the ranges of different colours, types of polymers, and intended use cases.
