These 1.75mm Teflon PTFE Tubes are supplied in 1m lengths with a 2mm inner diameter and a 3mm outer diameter, and are stocked for 3D printing applications to be used as a filament guide within 1.75mm Hotend Assemblies. The smooth, low-friction properties of Teflon allow the filament to slide through the heat break without any problems, while maintaining a relatively high level of heat resistance to ensure that the filament doesn’t melt before it reaches the melt zone near the nozzle.

While this PTFE Tubing has an ID and OD of 2mm x 3mm, we also stock a range of other sizes to accommodate various 3D printer setups. These include 2x4mm, 3x4mm and 4x6mm, and some of these are made to fit within heat breaks as low-friction sleeving, while others are simply meant to guide filament securely from the extruder to the hotend assembly in Bowden-style 3D Printers.

Typical Applications for 1.75mm Teflon PTFE Tube - IDxOD 2x3mm L:1m:

These 1m lengths of 2x3mm Teflon PTFE Tubing are, despite being used in small lengths of only a few centimetres at a time, sold in full lengths of one metre. This enables you to cut the tubing down to the precise sizes needed, while ensuring that you will have more than enough sleeving for when you need to replace sleeving in the future. However, it can also be used in applications other than just 3D Printing, as the high heat resistance and low friction co-efficient of the material means it can certainly be useful in a wide range of other scenarios as well.
