Out of the surprising number of choices that you as a Maker can choose from for your bed adhesion, none quite result in a prettier finish than PEI surfaces. These awesome Wham Bam Powder Coated PEI Flexi Plates offer a whole new level of convenience and efficiency. And this Wham Bam PEI Flexi Plate is powder-coated on both sides and 258x258mm. This allows them to be used effectively as a print platform for the some compatible Bambu Lab 3D printers. If you made the wise decision to install the ever-popular Wham Bam Flexible Build System on your printer, you have a chance to upgrade print quality even further with a Powder Coated PEI sheet.
Now powder-coated and double-sided, these PEI Flexi Plates offer more durability and a longer lifespan compared to the standard Wham Bam Preinstalled Flexi Plates. And even better, the XTR Powdered PEI plate has a thicker 0.6mm spring steel plate with thin, durable coating on both sides. The extra thickness is highly durable and adheres strongly with your magnetic base. The powdered PEI also directly translates to even fewer over-adhesion problems than what you might expect from PEI, as well as peace of mind in knowing that the entire surface is as flat as possible, without any undulations or curves that could cause problems. And of course, if you do manage to damage the bed or experience “baked in” filaments on the bed, you can simply flip it over and use the other side, essentially doubling the lifespan and ensuring awesome Bed Adhesion for longer than almost any other bed on the market.
Finally, just to add some awesome finishing touches, the powder-coated surface also carries the extra benefit of offering a beautifully textured surface finish, and compared to the ultra-smooth sheen of standard PEI Sheets, the finish created by the powder coating layer features a rougher, almost stippled surface that is quite reminiscent of BuildTak. And while this may not be the ideal choice for everyone, we personally love to have the choice of a smooth or a textured surface when designing and printing various things – which of course is particularly beneficial for covers and front panels.
Please Note: If you like the idea of these build plates, but are looking for a different Build Surface Materials, the 258x258mm Wham Bam PEX, or Wham Bam XTR Powdered PEI Flexi Plates allow Makers to swap build surfaces as they need.

Finally, the following video is a great review and build guide for the Wham Bam Flexible Build System from Teaching Tech, in which he compares it to the classic Creality CMagnet Bed, and shows off some of the key features that set it apart from competitors:

Wham Bam Systems is a funky, lively brand created by Peter Solomon, who has actually been a relatively well known inventor for 45 years now. From developing laboratory methods and protocols, to work on complex interferometer mechanisms, Peter has been applying for patents since as far back as 1984 – and now his most recent work is the reinvention of the 3D Printer Build Platform. This is how Wham Bam Systems started, and since 2019 they have been gaining popularity as some of the most effective and most convenient build plate systems on the market.
Catering to a large range of popular 3D Printers from leading hobbyist 3D Printer brands, Wham Bam Systems offers some of the best build plates on the market, and with the recent addition of the Wham Bam HotBox to their catalogue, we can’t wait to see what else Wham Bam Systems has in the pipeline for future upgrades.
